if you own a t2 then you know overheating = death for rotaries. installing a fan switch, aftermarket radiator, and downpipe are the 3 best mods to cool it down, how many times and how severly has it overheated?

Make sure the cooling system is properly bleed. Its common on the FD series (92-02) to have bubbles in it that allows overheating.
The best way to bleed it is to drive the nose up on car ramps & get some angle happening. Then run the engine with the cap off. Top up the system as all the air bubbles find their way to the highest point & out. After 20 minutes of mucking around. Yes it can take that long. Your system should be well bled.

Need more information about the overheating. Does it take a while or does it go straight to overheating? Can you tell if the thermostat is working. Does the coolant temp fluctuate? If the temp does not fluctuate before it overheats, then the thermostat is stuck. If the thermostat is stuck closed, then it will overheat really fast, if it is stuck open, then it will take about three times as long to overheat. Does it overheat while you are driving on the interstate or just while you are in traffic. The cooling system is the easiest system to troubleshoot. Answer these questions and you will kow what the problem is. If you have never changed the themostat, then it cannot hurt.
I recommend the stock thermostat. Some guys go cooler and do not get it with the jigglepin. I would get the stock replacement with the o-ring and the jigglepin. Can't go wrong.
