Every time I look at my car, I get a big smile. I look forward to that 3 mile drive to work. Sometimes I take longer routes to get there so I can drive the car a little longer. If I just washed it, and it rains (like today), I'm disappointed because it's not coming out of the garage.

Working on it is a pain. Most everything that needs to be repaired requires the removal of several other things to get to it. But I dont mind too much because once it's fixed........I'm back in heaven.............7 Heaven.

I love this car. Wouldn't trade it for anything. I love the way people look at it, and don't know what it is. I love the way I get to show people the back end when they try to race me. Best car I ever owned.

Adam

Had to sell both my FD's for a downpayment on a house, was the hardest thing I ever had to do. Now I have to focus on saving for another one. I miss my babies.

er..I love my fukking car too.....but right now I hate my fukking car....in a few weeks I'll love my fukking car. Only one thing though, when I treat my car good she slaps me in the face - what's up with that. I give her all new synthetic fluids in the manual tranny and differntial, change the oil every 1500 miles, have silicone seals and o-rings in the engine, get her a new fluidyne radiator - and what do I get - she ***** on me. So I guess I love and hate my fukking FD

Well boyz, I love My Fukking 7 as well. I don't know many people that have done this but....

I BOUGHT A HOUSE WITH A GARAGE FOR MY CAR. I felt like such a molester when she sat outside gettting rained on (eventhough she had a cover on her). I sometimes just stare at her in the garage.

About every 3rd time that I take her out I check all the fluids make sure she's all lubbed up and wet for me...heheehe. I hope she treats me as good as I treat her.

I praise all of you that drive your 7 daily. I still haven't been able to get myself to do that. As someone else in this post said, I feel like I'm driving a ferrari.

Unfortunately, I still need a guito *** mechanic to work on my Ducati.

so you're saying that if someone offered to trade you the new mercedes sl55 or a 911 turbo straight up for your fd, you'd turn them down?

I would!

I'd take it, sell it, use the left over money to build a better FD or TWO. MUAAHAHAHAH

If you are asking if would I decline a straight up trade of either of those cars for my 7 the answer is YES, I would immediately turn them down. The Mercedes is slow, sloppy, and lacks soul while the 911 turbo isn't as fast as mine (unless it is a GT2 [$189K]) and is much bitchier to maintain than even my little darling and there is no way I could afford the maintenance (wiper fluid for the porsche is $45 a bottle---really).

Dude..one of the guys that runs a Ferrari F355 was with us on a track day.

His alternator went out on the first lap. Brand new f'ing car, too.

More expensive the car, the more CRAP you have to deal with it, methinks.

You think thats bad go talk to a Lotus owner. Those cars have real issues they run bad 95% of the time and are a bitch to even get parts for.

If it didn't have issues, then how could I enjoy fixing them?

so i am confused, do you "love your fukking car" or "HATE your fukking car" ?

i just happened to noticed that those two threads were right next to eachother in this 3rd gen section...

i was thinking about trying to buy an FD this summer... would you guys say go for it or not? all i hear from the FD guys is they totally love their car or it is the worst car they have ever owned.. whats the deal.

I've had mine for 5 years, and I fall into the 'love my f@&%ing car' catagory. I say go for it.

Just make sure you know what you want, then wait for the right car...
