Thumbs up I LOVE my FUKKING car.

Love at first sight.

Runs great. Starts first time every time.

Looks even better. I get compliments and thumbs up every day, and I DRIVE it EVERY day. Still faster and better looking than 99% of the vehicles on the road. Yeah, sure, it has a few issues every year or two, but what vehicle doesn't?? I take care of my bitch.

I get SO tired of imbeciles who modify and abuse PERFECTLY GOOD VEHICLES without having a clue and taking the time to get edumacated about what they are doing and then bitch about it.

"GEE, I think I'll start throwing thousands of dollars of aftermarket go-fast goodies at my car without knowing **** and expect it to work!" Right on.

FUKK OFF and go buy a Honda if you can't live with it.

That's my story and I am sticking to it. Have been for 10 years now.

Oh, sorry. Let me tell you what I really think......

WOW, come on now Ron, dont hold back, how do you REALLY feel man?? Glad to hear its running great again and you are back in love with your "fukking" car, lol. You are right though about the modding on some of these cars, research is a definite MUST when dealing with these cars. ANyways, glad to hear good news.

I feel the same way!!! Daily Driven for years, never given me any problems. Only problems have been from user error.
Time after time on the street, track, strip, dyno it performs.
Wouldn't trade if for anything.

Even better, 'cause it is FASTER than a Ferrari. Really.

And you don't need to know Italian, have a bent nose and a mechanic named Guido who lives in Florence to fix it. (although a little Japanese would be nice!)

I'm with you Ron.

After discovering the RX7Forum a year and a half ago, and researching and installing ALL the BPU's(except a single turbo and a PFC). I am finally "satisfied and done" with my car. Went Non-seq, now I have a rock solid 13 psi ALL DAY LONG.

I find myself surfing the parts section out of habit, and then I realize that I don't need any more go fast parts...

Ahhh, sanity in a sea of utter madness.

Anyone else actually LIKE their FD3S, or are we the only ones out there...

Anyone...Anyone??

I guess it all comes down to whether or not you are willing to turn a wrench., but then again, I don't know HTML since I can PAY someone to do it for me.

All a matter of perspective.

Jeez, ya know, you're right. I need to go to the lounge where I am truly appreciated for my quirky sense of humor, AND to get a life. But, isn't it almost 2:00 AM in MD?

I still love my car. Maybe I'll sleep in it tonight.

what I like to do is to do searches on "rx7" in other forums, you'll be surprise on how much respect other people give to the rx7.

I've owned my FD about three months now, I've never driven it, not even an inch. Three days after I got it, I started taking it apart. Less than two weeks after I payed for it, I had the motor and tranny on the floor next to the car. The car is on jack stands, dusty, wheel-less and with a gaping hole where the hood should be, but it still makes me smile everytime I step through the garage door.

Couldn't have said it better. The only time my 7s have forsaken me is when I have not treated them right (which is more than I can say for some women I have dated).

I may be one of those who have gone over the top in doing things to my car (as you can see in my sig), but everything has been done with some wiggle room. The engine is tuned lean enough to make everyone's "seat of the pants dyno" tickle their "go fast" buttons (repeatable 0-60 times under 4.3) but is also rich enough (some say it is pig rich) to give me the wiggle room I need to drive wherever and whenever without fear that climate, octane availablity, or altitude will wind up damaging the car under full boost. My stock rims sport some hi performance all weather radials so the girl doesn't have to sit home in the rain.

Finally, there are only four people who will ever touch my car...they are my engine builder, myself, my son-in-law (who is also a certified Audi mechanic speciallizing in Audi TTs) and my body guy. Each of these people care about my car as much as I do.

Ron

Hell yeah. 9 years and there's nothing else under $100k I'd rather have. Maybe even $200k. I'm serious.

I almost bought a viper 6 months ago when my engine went and decided to put money into the FD instead. I'm well under half what that would have cost me and my car is faster and now arguably better looking and just as exotic (except my stock wheels...still waiting).

Quick Reply: I LOVE my FUKKING car.
