i have just got my fd back on the road today after months without it due to a lack of dashboard (it was being cf overlayed). i got the dash back yesterday and reinstalled it today, and guess what, once i had finished there were no left over screws!!!! yippeee!
anyway, i gave her a clean and took her for a drive. thats when i remembered just how much i love her. i love my fd because its so fast, yet so so drivable. she handles like a dream and can **** off porsche drivers! lol

so people, why do you love your fd??

I love my FD because of its style, body lines and the fact that even for such a old car it still keeps up if not beats the new cars in looks and speed..

weird, my fd snaps back at me...unless I keep on feeding her with nice drinks, (she drinks alot...only premium) and some expensive gifts. I got to keep her happy.

 

I'm curious what you mean by dashboard. Are you referring to the entire crashpad? If so can I see some pictures of what you did. I'm about to take mine out (PIA) and recober the whole thing in alcantra, remove the center speaker hole, and get rid of the passenger airbag. I also want to know who did yours.

not the whole thing, just the plastics, centre con, a/c dials and door trims! will get pictures of the car up asap, she is starting to take shape!
mine was done in england, but sonic7 does some amazing work as far as i have seen!

i also love the overall look of the fd, stunning lines way beyond anything else from its time!

I love my fd because? No matter how much sh*t I buy her, she always has something to b*tch about :-( . I guess you can call it a Love and Hate relationship :-P

 

I love my Rx 7 because I valet about 50 - 60 cars a night at an upscale restaurant and i still think my car is the coolest car i drove all night.

 

for my job i have driven hundreds of cars from fords to porsches and everything, def the rx outways all. the tvr sagaris is close, but i prefer my fd! maybe because its mine, i dunno

I love my FD because I just figured out that for every mile I have driven her it has costed me about $2.75 to own. Thats without gas money added in too. You have to love the timeless design, and aglilty of them though.

 

i dont really love my turd gen. i like it a lot but, i dont love it. i did love my 1st gen.

 

what's with all the hate from FC and FB guys? Its normal to improve looks and design as time goes on.

 

the question was if i loved my FD, which i dont. not if i liked the improved desing and looks, which i do, thats why i bought one.

 

i love my FD because it took me two years to rebuild after i drove it for one week.
now, when i sit next to buses at traffic lights and they pour diesel smoke... i think my car has a problem... and every click and smell i think is the car going to blow up (again)!

 

roger on that one so far ive put new turbos and now blown seals so everything had to come apart. talk about a bottomless money pit. but only reason im fixing it cause i love the car. ive driven a ferrari maranello it just doesnt compare to how fun it is to drive a rx7. well i just love my fd and i never plan on getting rid of it.
FD is the best simple as that.
