I just bought a PFS smic and...

They told me the welds aren't as neat as when they mass produced this i/c. Does anybody have a pic of the newest smic from PFS so I can see the difference? Thanks, Rick

I've got one of their intercoolers, but I bought it used and have no idea when it was produced. Maybe if you posted a picture of yours?

Thanks Jim. Compared to the older versions, yours does look like the new version. I'll know for sure tomorrow when I get it. Thanks for the pic.

Here's a photo showing one of the welds on mine, purchased around 1995.

The welds seem to be fine. They did use two pieces for each pipe, welded together. Doesn't look as clean but is fine. But there is no bracket for the ast. Overall it's fine I guess.
