I have no fuel filter please help verify hoses.

Well, I don't want to get into what, why, where, and when, but I have no damn filter.

Looking at the fuel system diagrams it is the hose circled that is my pressure line? The other line with pink dot is return line? Other is emissions.

Also since I did not remove it myself, I am not sure how it bolts up. Is this one of the holes for the bracket? The one next to the "red" ground wire?

I was handed the bracket with my old filter with the understanding the fuel filter was replaced and relocated so I have the bracket. I don't need to use the bracket, but it would be nice. Also, I guess I need a piece of hose to put this back the way it should be. Filter should be here tomorrow.

Any help is appreciated. New motor.... clean injectors.... I think it is pretty cheap insurance to keep a damn fuel filter on.

Thanks

It's really hard to tell from the pictures. I'd go through Google image search for a while and see what you can find.

Considering someone was goofing around in there it's hard to say how OEM things will be.

The fuel filter will be on the feed from the tank, it will go into and out of the filter then up to the engine. The return from the engine goes straight back to the tank, it doesn't need to be filtered of course.

This is what the bracket looks like under my car. It looks like someone put that ground wire where one of the bracket bolts go.

Just to be clear, the gold/zinc plated piece is the bracket, and the shiny black thing next to it is the fuel filter.

Gotcha. Well, kind of. I have searched and read all the threads, etc. Which you actually have an awesome write up Dale as does the Rob's site, and another guy on here .
So we agree that those are the 2 holes. I can/will leave the ground there. I just finished running a home made grounding kit so I know I am covered there regardless.

As for the lines I just want to make sure the one in red you see going from the right side of the car to the left is in fact the feed line. Looking at the pic it would be from left to right lol. Of course the hardest one to access.
Anyone know the size of the hose? I need to make an additional line and shorten the one there.

I know looking at pics is always a pain in these situations. I just don't want to be putting a filter on the return line. It makes sense to be the one in red, as the position would be relative to where the bracket is mounted.

The top of this picture is the fuel tank and the bottom is the subframe. The red line goes into the fuel filter.

This picture is shitty and it's at an angle, but that's the axle shaft at the top and the lines are going over it. The bottom-left of the picture goes to the front of the car. Follow the line in red. Hope this helps.

Bottom left corner in the second picture, top hard line is feed going into the filter, middle line is return and bottom line is to the charcoal canister.
