I have a luxury cooling problem

I have installed a new 55mm wide radiator and now i can't get my water temps to go upp. It jumps between 68-80 degrees celcius, depending on speed. But at normal speed at 100 km/h(60 mph) it goes all the way down to about 70.

Could it be that my thermostat is open, and that with the new radiator it's getting to much cooling.

I haven't taken it to the track yet. Im still in the progress of running the car inn. Just passed 1100 miles since friday on the car. It looks like the new 2mm 2 piece mazda apex seals are very good.

But does eny one know how hot thermostats i can get?

I dunno, but I for one like cooler temps, My Koyo keeps me at about 88c while cruising and rises to about 95-97c while stop and go...I thought that was pretty good...

the thermostat should be keeping the coolant at the right temp when warming up. if i were you id replace the thermostat to see if that helps. you can get a hotter thermostat, but i doubt thats the deal. the engine gets hot enough to warm up the coolant easily.

a larger radiator isnt going to necessarily cause temps to go down like that. i see about a peak of 89C on average. . . but i have datologit so. . . hehe.
