This is why Carfax is essential as these cars get older. My impression is that this guy is rebuilding wrecks and cars that have been totaled by the insurance companies. He may be cannabilizing parts from one wreck to put on another.

With a car like the FD, I'd be worried about any loss of structural integrity. A rebuilt car may look good, but if you drive a good one and then drive one that's had its frame/unibody damaged, you'll feel the difference right away.
