It's 5:30am, and 2 hours ago I took delivery of my FD. I was up camping 2 hours from home, and woke up in the middle of the night and drove back to town to meet the auto transport truck and get my car. I couldn't sleep, and the moment I knew it was about time for him to be getting close to town, I booked it out to go get the car. I'm tired, and will pay for it today as we have a big day of fishing planned, but I had to run it for an hour, and then stare at it in the gargage for another hour Amazing machine.

Probably wondering why I envy all 7 owners. Well, that's simple.....you've got to enjoy it all this time and I'm just now realizing what this car is all about the last few hours!!!

My heart was racing as I pulled into my shop as we were meeting there, and he had it off the truck by this point.....he even parked it at an angle to the street in one of my customer parking spots under a street light to give me a nice first impression....not that it needed it, but it was a nice thought of the guy to put it on display for me as I first layed eyes on it coming down the street!!!

Now the sad part.....I have to put it in the garage and drive my pickup back to the ole' fishing hole where my wife, brother and sister in law are still probably sleeping at. Damn it all to hell....they can keep their stupid fish, I want to go for a little ride, again!!!

Today is going to be the worst day of fishing I have ever experianced, and only because I will want it to end quickly to get home and give her a bath. 2k miles of transport got a little dust on her and that **** isn't going to fly!!

Obviously, I will post pics even though you all have one and know what it is.....I'm just so damn proud. This has been yeras in the making, and finally early this morning, my dream came true.

Now I just gotta put AAA on speed dial and open an account at RX7Store and I'll be all set

For most of us that feeling never leaves. In fact it will visit you again after your car goes down for a while. I hope that is a long way off for you! Mine was down for a year and a half. I had the motor in and for two weeks and I've only driven 38 miles so far. I can't wait for a day off of my own and the nice weather to go with it! Oh and Congrats!

 

Congrats, i can't imagine the feeling when i get mine back on Tues/Wednesday. Just had my turbo's fixed. (boost problems)
