i was drifting and now my steering wheel is messed up

okay guys earlier this evening i was drifting with my t78 rx7 and after i was done drifting the steering wheel was turned to the right yet i was going straight!?!?!?!? basically its turned about 45 degrees to the right and i still go straight....yet when i let go of the steering wheel the car turns hard to the left....is this an easy fix or is it my suspension ...i didnt hit anything or crash anything....i am just wondering how to make my alignment the way it used to be!

How about abnormally bent suspension components
I supposed it IS possible that the tie rod skipped a few threads. Unlikely.........but possible

i just think that if i pull off the steering wheel face and unscrew the main bold that holds the steering wheel on and then reposition the steering wheel it might fix my problem....well it would fix the abnormal placement of the steering wheel ahah

If you don't know enough about your suspensions to know what to look for when people tell you that it could be a bent tie rod, then take your car to a shop and have them look at it.

no i know what my tie rod it i just dont think that mazda made them that weak....they are thick enough to withstand a 30mph drift unless the bushing on them are shot and then all the shock and tension would have gone straight into the tie rod and bent it....that would suck!

sorry guys its not a bent tie rod i just got under the car and the brace around the strut ....well the bushing on that....that connects to the axle well its shot ...i mean its cracked and busted open so its time for me to get out the wrench and put some new bushings on ...as for the steering wheel being sideways after i type this i am going to remove the airbad unit and unscrew the single bolt that holds the wheel at its neutral spot and i am going to re align it....so thanks for the help anyways guys
peace out

If you are going to remove the steering wheel and reposition it to fix your problem, you are retarded. You need to fix the suspension properly, and then get it realigned.

did you not read what i wrote up top i am taking off the left front suspension and replacing the bushings then because my wheel has been stuck at 45 degrees to the right the steering column will have to be realigned so the steering wheel will be realigned and then taking it to an alignment shop and getting it properly aligned....and i am just going to go the full 9 yards and replace the suspension with all new bushings and save up for some M2 toe links and trailing arms...sorry if my english sucks a dick and i thought i could realign it through the steering wheel but after 30 min ago when i just took the airbag unit out and tried for like 15 min to push it back into its neutral position i realized what i was doing was retarded...haha well thanks anyways
