I cant pull codes

I searched and searched but this seems unique.

I got my harness back on my motor..got my battery wired back up and got my ecu back in. And I got power yay

Ok my car has no emmisions, is non seq has no abs no ac. So thats plenty of codes to pull.

I was hoping to pull the codes and figure out how things were and what I was missing..

I am following the ever so simple instructions of pulling codes and nothing....I have tried resetting things by taking off the negative terminal and nadda nothing.

And im not gonna drive the car with this ecu was just hoping to diagnose everything before I bought a apexi..

does the "check" bulb work?
if so, drive the car around. it needs load sometimes.
if it doesn't come "on" , then you have no codes.

ok when you turn the key to the on position the check engine light should come on. if not the ecu is not getting power or the bulb is burned or the connecton to the ecu is bad etc.. you gety the idea. if ity does not come on i would go look at the egi fuse by the battery

Check the engine fuse under the dash first. I had a problem like this and the burnt fuse would kick the fans on. It was strange.

Ok checked fuse (actually checked all of them) everything is good....
Update on this...The fans stopped that stupid thing of coming on when ever the battery was hooked up....Something needed a ground..
Still cant pull codes....

it's the second "click" when u turn the key.

like i said, u might need to drive the car to trigger some of the CODES!
