I broke the nipple off of the stock solenoid
all I need to do is plug the damn thing. How do I fix it? can I super glue it back on with the cap on, or can I just put a screw in the hole with some gasket sealer?
i did the same thing last year myself. Those nipples get very hot and the vac lines just melt on them. Next time use a sharp exacto knife and peel away the vac line. As far as glue goes i do not think that will work! I bought a used one off a guy on this board to replace mine and i think i paid $35 bucks for it. Just do not go to the dealer u will pay big bucks there.
yeah, I broke some nipples last year too. Don't use super glue. It's hard to work with. Use JB welds. You can find it at any automotive store. It runs about $5.00 and is really strong/heat resistant.
what color is the solenoid? sounds like he is talking about the AWS solenoid dont be a rikki. if you dont need it then just dont use it. are there gonna be any lines going to it? does the avcr deactivate it. hell, you can deactivate it yourself. i took mine out along with some others.
oh yeah. . . . ryan? (is that your name dont be a rikki) i liked your website. pretty good stuff. especially the how to be a rikki list. haha

I fit's the one on the left behind the vacuum box, then it's the pre-control solenoid.
Haha, I broke the one off of my wastegate
those nipples are pathetic.
Like Ryan said, you might be able to bypass it all together. You could just switch the electrical connectors and swap a couple vacuum lines. Just take a minute and look at it, you'll see which lines should switch and what not.
It should work if you are non-seq or if you want to stay non-seq.....it will be much harder to do and will probably need replaced if you want to go back to sequential.
