i am painting my stock wheels this weekend. I am just trying to decide what color though. my car is black, and was woundering if anyone has any pictures of there wheels painted on a black fd. Thanks.

BATMAN has black rims on his black FD...they're not stock rims, but they give the same effect - just search for his name, because he has pictures in his signature

 

Seen a few, type in the search, " painted my wheels" i remeber someone did it with a 3rd gen, I did it to my FC. Use the DupiColor Wheel Coating, GunMetal, not quite black, but almost, it looks good.

 

i want to paint my rims black what kind of paint do you guys recommend. nvm lol

 

i am going to use diamont base coat, i can mix any color, i am just trying to decide on what color. I am leaning towards gunmetal.

I love BATMAN's FD. One day I will have an FD and when I do, mwuahahaha, mwuahahahaha, MWUAhahahaha, MWUAHAHAHAHAHA,... I'll be really happy.

 

i painted my wheels with rustoleum black from home depot. took me no time at all. i think i used only 1 coat per wheel. hahaha but the **** is tough as nails when it cures.

 

I thought BAT had a set of aftermarket rims, too. I guess they turned out so good they just look like aftermarket rims to me.

I remembered him mentioning that black wheels on a black car gave the illusion that they were bigger. And IIRC, he also had a set of aftermarket wheels (Enkei RP01?) that he powdercoated black.

 

1234rotor i like the way yours looks. I'll probably go with gunmetal.

 

I personally think that Batman's wheels look absolutely sick. Though I think that bronze wheels, namely the Volk SE37's look equally as sick. If you want to stay with the stocks though, I would go with black instead of gunmetal.

ROFL, yeah, that's a wing typically seen on a Civic or an Accord. Get the 99 Spec wing and your "Bat-Mobile" will be the sickest thing out there. Even with the wing I give you mad props dude, the car looks bitchin. Oh and BTW, no, no one cares what you used to take those pictures =P.

 

One more thing, what rubber you got on those wheels? How much each?

I was just messing around and used Photoshop to darken my stock rims. Looks pretty good in gunmetal, if you ask me.

If you send me a pic I can do someone else's rims the same way, too. Very easy.
