I am in desperate need of a 93 T-stat housing
hey every1,
With my new HMIC i am forced to eliminate the AST (ic comes so close to the t-stat housing that the hose is kinked wherever it goes). However, i have a 94 FD, and with 94's the entire t-stat housing is cast, meaning i cannot unbolt the filler neck and attach the 86 neck with the overflow hose that i purchased. I called Ray at Malloy Mazda and Mazda has superceded the 93 t-stat housing with the cast 94 one, so i cannot purchast a new one. The car ABSOLUTELY HAS to be up and running by this time next week. Would anyone who is planning on keeping their AST be willing to trade me? I will pay for 2day fedex both ways and id even be willing to give ya a few bucks for your troubles.
Please PM me if you could gimme a hand in this matter.

You could have extra aluminum welded to the neck, drill and tap it, and insert a threaded brass fitting; or drill it and have a small aluminum tube welded to it.
There are always other options.
