I just got my HP Design Evos on Friday. Got the 18x8 and 18x9 in hyper silver. I love how they look, however I have to say that I am disappointed with the quality. The 18x8s are fine, but both of the 18x9s have blemishes under the paint. Looks like someone at the factory tried to grind somthing down in a few areas on the spokes before painting them and then painted over the area without smoothing the surface first.
Anyone else have these rims with the same issues? I am going to see if I can return them for another set.

What's wrong with the 19s? I love how they look on your car. Do they rub?

That seems to be the trend with all the cheaper wheels available. I looked at a bunch in pictures and they look great , but then i went to the wheel shop and looked at them in person and the painted ones all had blemishes. I suppose you get what you pay for . You have to remember there all made in China/Thailand(Asia)

Ah, sounds like you rolled your fenders. No rubbing any more after that?? Damn I wish I would have gone with the 19s now.

sorry no offense, get what you like, but in my opinion19's look terrible on the FD, its too big for the size/proportions on the car. 18s are the biggest that will look "right" in my opinion, and look the best too. the smallest cars that will look right with 19s are grand touring cars like the 350z, rx8, g35, etc. i have 19s on my rx8 and it looks great, but again 19 is the max and 20 looks akward for that size of car. it just bothers me cuz when i see wheels that are too big for the car i think of those civic kids with civic 2 doors and fake *** 18 inch chrome wheels that look all big, cheap, and nasty. not to mention 19s will hurt the performance of the car because of weight, unless you have like a $6000 set of mags
