I am a friend of Snook, and I am currently in the market for a car(as soon as i sell my mustang), so I am just here to learn about the rx7, I want to have some knowledge of a car before I get my hands dirty, so I figure this is the place to get it. BTW I think rx7s are sweet as hell, and no i didnt learn about rx7s from fast and furious, ive been a car nut since like 8, and have read every car magazine since then, so i have some knowledge on lots of cars, but would like to get some more on a car i am interested in...that is all

Welcome to the forum.

R Xplicit is right, just read around and you will find out alot about this car. Don't be scared off, there is lots of controversy on the forum, but the bottom line is, this is one of the best "true" sports cars around.

It will take more effort to maintain it, but it is worth it, and contrary to some of the "in-fighting" that occassionaly goes on here, everyone here is willing to help, and there are tons of owners that know more about these cars from firsthand exerience than anyone else alive.

I think it is really kick *** that your selling your stang to get a FD.I promise you,you will not be dissapointed.My sister is a stang freak and has one.She try's to race me every time she gets a new mod but as usual she gets spanked.Those fat bastards seriously need some metabomax to drop a couple 100 pounds.You have certainly made the right choice.But there are a couple of things you MUST know before you get one.They arent quite as forgiving as some of the V 6/8 cars..So know your stuff take care of your FD and it will take care of you
