6'1" 235 pounds and I dont fit well. I think my arms are short or something. When I recline the seat to the point that my head does not hit the roof my arms are out straight and my knees would hit the steering wheel when I tried to heel toe. I installed a D shaped wheel with a Mazda Speed hub and a 1" extention to pull the wheel out from the dash some. I had to make a wider gas pedal, adjust the brake pedal height and free play to heel toe well though.

6'2" and 130 lbs is no problem? You are too skinny.

I'm 6'2" 180lb. My knees hit the steering wheel too.

I can drive all the way to Vegas without a break, I can Almost go thru 4 music CD's before I get there.
It usally takes me about 3 hours & 10mins to get there if I average around 92 mph
But when I get out of the car it does get you in the groin area

I'm 6'2 175 lbs and my knees touch the steering, I also hate that ****** gaz pedal.

At first this car was made for japanese so that's why there is not enough room I think...

Anyways the worse cars are Ford with their 3 feet long plastic dash :P

Could any of you 6'2" and up guys take a picture of the angle your seat is on so you can fit? I have to put the seat in my GSX on a pretty icky angle just to not hit my head (though on a decent bump I have to duck). I'm 6'3" and ~195lbs. I haven't driven an RX-7 yet, but I have driven a Supra with a comfortable seat angle and had tons of headroom compared to my GSX.

I am 6'1" about 150 lbs. and have racing seat that are angled that it is hard to get in the seat cause the steering wheel is much closer to the seat than stock. But once i'm in the car everything is perfect. Good amount of head room. I will post a pic of it when I restart my computer cause it won't let me upload it now.

6'3 and about 280 pounds *shutter*. Maybe not having a cup holder will slim me down.

I have the base seats, don't know it matters. I have to slide the seat all the way back to get in and out. I think I normally keep it about 2 inches from full back when I drive, not sure about the seatback though. Getting out isn't that bad (seat back, open door, turn, feet out, hand on door jam next to seat and whalla, a bear getting out of a clown car), but getting in is tough though, I normally have to push the break down a little as I slide in.

I don't know, I was thinking maybe a removeable racing type (the kind that pops off when to help you get in and out of your cage) wheel would help. I'm not too concerned about the legality.

-heal-toeing. I can't. Lol, no room. I can kind of roll my foot left to right with my toes up, but not move my foot sideways much. I'm on the stock peddles and size 12 casual shoes.

I was thinking about racing seats, but a solid back would do me no good. You'd have to hope it's comfortable and if it isn't- oh well! Generally racing seats that have adjustable backings are taller (at least from what I've seen), which negates the benefit of going to a racing seat when seat height is the primary concern.

0110-M-P: How far would you say your head is from hitting the roof? Can you wear a helmet? I *am* ~2" taller than you, so I'm not sure that's the best comparison (considering another inch alone would let me have my seat up a bit more vertical). Thanks for the pic, though. (Does that seat sit much lower than stock?)

Well, I just signed up for ImageStation to get the full sized picture, and man those things look DEEP! Are they as deep as they look? And how do you like them?

Yea they are def. as deep as they look. I wouldn't trade them for anything. They sit a little lower than stock maybe an inch and i wouldn't have the seats and more verticle cause they feel perfect. Plus the seats are great if you a weight junky. They are 11 lbs each w/o brackets, made of like carbonfiber and fiberglass I think.

I just went out and checked clearance with a helmet on and it was like an inch and a half. it would be pretty tight for you being two inches taller than me. But you never know. You might just have longer legs and a shorter upperbody, so it would fit fine. But check out the seats at:

Ouch, those are a pretty penny. Maybe I can stop by a Chicago RX-7 meet and take a seat in one of their cars. That would really help.
