My feet are pretty wide and it isn't a problem. The brake pedal sticks out further than the gas pedal, so it seems unlikely that you would contact the gas pedal unless your brakes have gone soft and you have soft-soled clown shoes on. I don't have any better explanation than that. It hasn't been a problem for me, even with wide-soled shoes. Racing shoes are pretty narrow, so it isn't likely to be a problem on the track. It is actually the side of your shoe about 2" down from where the ball of your foot is that contacts the pedal when you roll your foot over. Perhaps it would be a problem with the large pedal extension, but the small one works great for me, so that is the one I recommend.

Cool 5'9" 235, post holidays 240...

Ex-body builder, now doing maintenance, so body fat has climbed to 18% to 20%...(actually 22% post-holiday FAT)...what do you expect from a 35-year-old, married male with a wife that COOKS WELL!? I wear overalls when I change tires at the track, and the guys joke about my having the "Green Mile" look

While seated, my helmet does touch the car's roof lining. This is partly due to my seating position. I like to sit very upright and close to the wheel, so that my arms are slightly bent with hand positions at "9" and "3".

I'm broad through the chest/shoulder area (size 48 Athletic cut suit size), thus the stock R1 seats don't hold me in place very well at the track, even with 4-point Schroth harnesses in place. I really need a serious racing seat and 6-point seat belts, but that would be completely impractical for me as my R1 is mainly a daily driver (sigh!).

Heel-toe downshifting is not a problem. I have my brake pedal adjusted as high as possible, so that when I depress the brake pedal at full speed down the main straight, with the ball of my foot, I can easily blip the throttle with the side of my foot. FWIW, I don't need a wide-foot throttle pedal adapter...I already have wide feet that require size EEE shoe widths

At Road America, my driving instructor stands 6' 4", at 260 lbs...he had to recline the passenger's seat back for him to fit with a helmet on....we also exceeded the FD's gross vehicle weight rating by ~100 lbs! Not only did we toast a set of brake pads in one weekend, my instructor (unknowingly) broke my passenger's door handle (sigh!) through the right-hand turns...we still managed to turn 2' 53"s with stock Expedia S-07 tires and Performance Friction Z-rated pads (junk...I don't recommend them!).

6'1" and 205lbs. here. I have about an inch of headroom in the car.
I really think a helmet would just not work with me, using the current seats. Also, depending upon torso length, what I have noticed about taller guys riding in my car and also myself, is that your are looking thru the windshield just under the sun visors....meaning there is no way a radar detector is gonna work for me if it is clipped to the underneath side of the visor.....it would be blocking part of my view......

I'm 5' 11", about 190, and have no problems. On long trips I adjust things slightly from normal daily driver position. I drove from Pettit in Ft. Lauderdale to Atlanta in 10 hrs. very comfortably by slightly reclining from "everyday" position and resting hands on legs with both thumbs and forefinges on wheel. Could relax and steer quite easily. I don't yet do track so I don't have a helmet so head room has never been an issue with me, but my church Pastor is 6' 4" and has to slide the passenger seat slightly forward a notch or two then recline the seatback a click or two from normal in order to "fit" at all. I have never missed the tilt. Most I've tried obstruct the view to gauges anyway when tilted to a good position, so even though I might like my wheel 1/2 inch up or down sometimes, I'd rather keep the perfect view of the gauges.

I am 5' 7" (average height of a roman foot soldier) 200-220 lbs. This car was built for me, I fit that good! That may change if I didn't play hockey and work out though.

5'8" 205 lbs like sleep 20% body fat (I have no excuse. not married). Damn I gotta start running again!!! Oh yeah I feel a little cramped around the soulders like when I'm reaching for the compartment on the door panel or retreiving my wallet at the drive thru hence the 20%. Other than fits like a glove.

6'3 200LBS. I don't fit too well in the 3rd gen or 2nd gen T2, both with a sunroof. Have to slouch a little.

I think I'm one of the shortest fd owners here!!! In our car club, we've got 4 FD's...and two of them HAVE to put their seat ALL the way back...and one of them puts it back...but not all the way back...I move my seat FORWARD...but I'm also 5' 4" and 165 lbs.(wrestling puts weight on you...but so does eating!)...

Wow, are most FD owners over 6 feet tall?

I think there is a selection bias working here.

I am 6 foot 1 inches and when I tell people I have an RX7, they wonder how fit in the car. I have no problem with the seat back positioned in the 2nd to the last notch and the backrest reclined.

Sparco Evo seat waiting to be installed for more headroom with a helmet on.

I had asked to same question to this guy and he said in his fd group there is a guy who is 6'7! Im 6'4-6'5 and i rode in a fd for like almost 3 hrs total and at first i had to slouch alittle beacuse of the seats in a touring being thicker but after awhile i seemed to fit right in. So when i get mine a racing seat is a relibality mod for me!

I'm 6'3-4, ~180lbs... I have this feeling I won't fit well in a FD.

Fit fine but not with a helmet when stock.
I bolted a corbeau racing seat right to the floor.
I want a new steering wheel now to move the wheel off my knees.
I can toe and toe with my widefeet
