Question How should I patch up the hole on IC after removing an Racing beat inlet duct??

I am about to put a "cold air" box and currently have a RB inlet duct drawing air from my intercooler. How should I go about patching up the plastic molding of the Intercooler when I remove the RB inlet duct?? Any info. is appreciated.

intercooler ??

easy. just go to any audio shop or radio shack and ask for one of those plastic sheets. They use them to make frame for the radio. Just cut out the desire size and use small screw to hold them down. After you have done this, use some epoxy to fill in the surrounding area for a sealed plate. done.

When I removed my RB inlet I used a old 1 gallon juice jug and cut it to size. Some silicone and duct tape and I was done. Simple and cheap.

This a quote from my friend:

The carbon fiber was a leftover piece from my Torasport carbon fiber interior kit. I went to Home Depot and bought a small piece of galvanized steel, then cut it to shape to cover the opening, then covered that with the carbon fiber piece and trimmed to shape before drilling mounting holes. All very scientific as you can tell. I fastened mine by drilling holes and using tiny barbed automotive fastners that you can purchase at Ace hardware. They work great and have a clean look installed.

Now I am thinking of using some material fom the intake cover and using IT to cover the hole!

duct tape and cardboard spray painted black. Or even better use gaffer's tape. generally has better adhesive and nie flat finish.

I just cut out a piece of sheet metal to match the opening with a little overlap, then I used self tapping sheet metal screws and some RTV siliconeto secure it. Here's a pic:
