How to Remove Cluster Wiring?

Trying to get the cluster out in order to fix speedo etc.
Are there any tricks or tips on how to get the plugs to 'unplug'?
I've already broken my hood, so I don't want to break anything else.

Looks like plugs have center locks, but no luck so far in getting Any to release.

Any help would be appreciated.

the tab is in the center on both sides of the longer part. you squeeze them together to get the plugs out, i mean REALLY squeeze them together.

Yep. Try not to use a tool, just squeeze with your fingers. All other electrical connectors on the car have tabs on just one side, these have them on both sides. Squeeze both sides and there ya go. I think there's 4 connectors that need to be unplugged from the cluster.

Just be patient and they will com out.

Squeeze with your fingers and lightly pull and shimmy at the same time. Awkward angle so it is hard to get much power but if you don't give into the frustration and take your time they will come out.

The second go around will be much easier.
