How is my motor not dead?
Ive been hitting .8 lately, finally looked it up and the calculator that I was using said a little over 13psi. WTF? Im running a Blitz intake and HKS catback, and thats it. Ive been hammering it at that boost for 5 months or so now, and no problems. As far as I know, everything else is stock. But, there is this big sticker on my battery cover, it has a rotor on it and says "RE Super-G". Anyone ever heard of that? Do I have some kind of reflash? Did the Jspecs run that much more boost than the USDM? Im running 91 octane, with no problems at all. I dont get it.

what are you using to measure the pressure? could be your gauge is just not accurate, could be that you're lucky. do you have a stock ECU? there's lots of things that could be going on.

Ive got the RE-A coloum mounted gauge. I would assume its accurate, it was made for this car. Well at least the backlight is the same color as the dash lights. And Im starting to wonder about the ECU. I mean, as far as I know, its stock. Who puts an aftermarket ECU in without any more exhaust than a catback, stock IC, etc...

Its not uncommon to see 11 PSI with a few flow modifications. For the most part, the stock ECU programming is rich enough to deal with it (and fuel cut is boost level and rpm level dependent.. its not a straight 10 PSI cut off). However, you need to keep an eye on things to ensure that it doesn't increase.

I would not tolerate 11.6psi on my car.
It probably hasn't blown since the stock ECU feeds pretty rich, but there are other things that can lean it out: bad tank of gas, extra boost on a cold night, injectors gumming up and not flowing at full rating, etc.
Personally I would unplug the wastegate solenoid and go at 8-9 psi rather than see boost in the 11-12psi range.

wow, thanks for all the replies. First off, I never see temps lower than 60 degrees here on Okinawa. Second off, Im pretty sure I have a leaky injector or two, as when I hit the transition/or secondary turbo comes on, I emit a big puff of black smoke, and my ehxhaust smells like fuel. So, by luck of something ******* up, I think Im running rich enough for whatever boost Im running. I know its not a good thing, but I dont have the money right now to have my injecterors cleaned/flow balanced. And I dont know where to do that, seeing as how I dont speak a lick of Jap. I know I really need a PFC and good set of injecors, but unfotanaltly thats not in the cards for me right now. Thought it was my plugs/wires, so I replaced those, and it ran great for 4 days, then back to the same rough idle, transition hesitation, and intermediate high RPM breakup. So Im pretty sure its injectors or FPR... Sorry i this post doesnt make sense, Im rather drunk right now. But thanks for everones help...

If you have money to get drunk, then you have money to get your injectors cleaned. It's like 15 to 20 bucks an injector, pocket change compared to paying for a blown engine.......
