How much mileage do you think an FD can handle?

Mine already has 102000 miles, with 3k on the new engine, how much longer do you think my FD will go on for?

I'd say that it's almost impossible to say. Assuming that you mean your engine, it all depends on, a **** load of factors like who built it, how they did it, how you drive, blah blah. 20k-... If the turbos havent been rebuild, they *could* go sometime soon if they aren't going already. radiator should not be stock anymore, along with the AST, injectors should be cleaned or replaced, maybe the O2 sensor. I'll assume the vaccum hoses have been replaced since it's birth, they need it, but not if they only have 3k on them.

Assuming that you mean the car, things should already start to be going. You have coilovers right? So you dodged the main shocks and springs shitting out, but you should have suspension linkage bushings going if they are original. The interior and everything else is up to how it was driven.

There are alot more regular maitnence parts too. Fuel filter, oil filter (duh), all the fluids at regular times.

*shrug* If you take good care of it, it should take care of you, like any car. They just tend to be worked hard, as sports cars should be imo, and they live the life of sports cars.

Kill, you do ask alot of questions that are somewhat "FAQ" (frequently asked questions) material.

And the search can be hard to work sometimes.

So I'll point you to a few really good info sites that are all layed out in somewhat decent format for your reading pleasure.

http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/index.html
http://www.robrobinette.com/
http://www.autosportracetech.com/RX-7/rx7stuff.htm
http://www.rotaryengineillustrated.com/index.html
http://www.johnr.com/rx7.htm

Anyway, read as much as you can, you should be used to it if you want to learn as much about your 7 as you can. Even though it's basically thankless, people love when you find your own info.

AIM me if you have any car questions, or pm if I don't respond or you don't have AIM. AIM name is, hehe "particleeffect". Even though I am nowhere near even "advanced" in my rx-7 experiance, I read everyday about it and like to learn about it, so I might be able to answer things sometimes.

With a radiator, downpipe, temperatue gauge, ast, and vaccum hoses and a power FC i think it'll probably last over 120k miles. Not to mention regular oil changes etc...

The car will last as long as you don't wreck it and have the money to replace broken/blown/worn out parts.
