how much horse should I expect and how fast
Hi there I have a couple of questions about what I should expect from my NEW and improved rx-7. it is a 1993 rx-7 with an auto tranny, and I getting a streetported motor from KDR with reliablity mods and 3inch down pipe, high flow cat, and hks muffer, also I will have a aftermarket intake. With these mods what kind of power should I expect? I think the improved air flow should cut down on turbo lag but should I worry about boost spikes? Will I have to modify my ECU or fuel pump? Everything else on my car will be stock, however I do plan to upgrade the radiator and intercooler. Any help or Input on what MOds I should go with would be great. I want to go fast without losing my relablity of this daily driver. thank you

It depends on how "fast" you want to go. I would defiantly get an ecu with a streetport, dp, cb, and intake and suggest a 5 speed conversion in the future. I can't remember if the Apexi PFC will work on the auto's but you may have to stick with a remapped.
Supposedly the auto trannys start tearing up after 300rwhp and I would guess you should be around 270.

I want to stick with a auto. If I plan to do that I will just buy another Rx-7. hmmmmm I really did not want to mess with the ecu or fuel. just wanted my rx-7 as fast as a stock 5 speed or faster.

Well the stock ecu will basically only hold 3 mods, intake, dp, and cb. Some people have run more on the stock ecu and it might be ok since your auto but I wouldn't attempt it.
