how much gain from a street-port?
I recently had my motor re-built and thought I was getting a street-port but there must have been some mis-understanding. Is there really a big gain unless you match port the intake? Also how much low-end do you lose? I like more torque on the low end, especially because I went single..

The power gains will probably very quite a bit, car to car, but I think with running an open exhaust and intake, you will gain about 30 hp.
And you WILL lose low end torque, so if that's your priority, then I wouldn't get a streetport. Or a single for that matter.

thanks, I do like the low end torque and I have already gone single (Apexi kit). The Apexi kit is still very responsive but not like the twins, but overall going single is so much easier to work on and trouble shoot problems. I mean trouble shooting the twins is like finding a needle in a hay stack, while the single is like finding a hippo in the same hay stack. Seriously!!!!And the power increase is awesome while being more reliable. I think I am glad I didnt get the porting done. I was told however that if you are going to port that you should really match port the intake manifolds for the biggest gains. (around 60-70HP if tuned properly..)
