How much does an OEM R1 seat weight?

Anyone know the exact measurement? Pass side? Driver side? (With integrated bracket / hardware I assume)

Depressingly close to (maybe less than!?) a Sparco Sprint + planted bracket + sliders? That's all I know.

Having seen pics of your car, have you been running stock seats all these years? Thinking of switching now? Why?

I mostly looking just to drop weight the car is 100 pounds overweight for its competition class Kirkey seats weigh 16 pounds per seat plus brackets so I'm hoping it'll be worth the investment

non-sunroof car?

consider getting aftermarket seats that bolt to the floor to gain headroom

It is a sunroof car. I actually lover the sunroof personally.

I like oem quality of course and the look of the R1 seats but if they're the samesame height that's no bueno. Can't afford the recaros so it looks like I'm seat shopping.

I only lost approximately 10 lbs. when I replaced my stock leather seats/seat brackets. My Corbeau FX1 Pro weighs 19 lbs. each and the seat bracket was probably another 8 lbs.

What are you using for brackets? The Planted ones I got are strong and thick but quite heavy and locate the seat a bit high.
