How much does my car weigh?
I have a 93' base model. Here are the items I've removed: both cats, ps, cruise control, air pump, ac compressor, ac condensor, spare tire and tools, stock air box, windshield wipers, and trunk divider.

Find a drag strip with a scale and weight it. Last summer my base with only a SSDP was 2925Lbs. with me in it (155Lbs) and about 5 gallons of gas.

Here are the curb weights published by Mazda...

Base, M5 - 2,789 lbs.
Base, A4 - 2,857 lbs.
R1, M5 - 2,800 lbs.
Touring, M5 - 2,862 lbs.
Touring, A4 - 2,923 lbs.

What's the diff between basem5 and base a4?

That would be A=Automatic 4spd. M=Manual 5spd.

I just had my car corner balanced and it came up at 2805 with 1/4 tank of gas. I still have all the A/C stuff and cat so I would guess your car would be like 2760.

My FD with a full tank of gas weighed 2850 - 2900 lbs. on the local scales.
