How much did your engine rebuild cost?

Hi guys!
I've got to decide whether to buy a cheap well looked after FD with 52k miles on the clock, or a more expensive one with a recently rebuilt motor. The price difference between the two is £2500.
Jimmy's offers a rebuild for £3000, but that assumes that I don't have to buy any parts. How much have you guys had to fork out for rebuilds?

TIA

Rebuilds here in the states go between $1,000.00 USD and up to $6,000.00 USD at some shops. I say get the one with the better condition body and interior. You can always use a place that does cheaper rebuilds and have a bunch of new stuff put in(New Housings, lapped irons, all new seals) and come out way better than sending it to some other shops.

Plus if the 52k mile fd is mostly stock it probably has a lot of life left in the engine.
