As far as I know...no I don't. The only mods I've done to my drivetrain are suspension, clutch/flywheel, and wheels/tires. It could've came with more drivetrain mods on it when I bought it 4 years ago not really sure though.

It also happens when I turn. I'll try to post pics of the diff tomorrow (I know it doesn't look normal...just trying to diagnose problem before buying replacement parts) On the bright side though I got 12.60 @ 118.9mph before this happened. Anymore input on this would be greatly appreciated.

by any chance were you at the drag strip in donaldsonville, Louisiana when this happened. Cause i was there for test and tune on the 28th and i saw a red FD there. I was in my Eclipse GSX. If that was you, all i have to say is that is one sick car. 12.60 is a very respectable time and I couldnt believe it even when i saw it. It sucks you broke though. Hope you get it back on the road soon. Good luck!

Yes, that was me. Thanks for the compliments. I'm actually waiting on my new diff to come in. It should be in by the end of this week.

I also had a problem with my FD´s diff recently. The whole transmission started to "Hop" when the diff. was "locking" (during hard acceleration or cornering) otherwise there seemed to be no problem. I took out the whole pumpkin and replaced it with another used one. Now everything seems to be allright except for a little hop when I start off in 1st gear.
My problem is that since then I´ve looked at my diff a few times and there seems to be nothing wrong with it.....no visible cracks or breaks on any of the gears and the rack and pinion are like new. My car is a very low mileage one (32k miles) and I still wonder what has gone wrong with it.
