start off by seeing how much they are going for in the area. then add what you think the parts are worth ( you obviously cant ask full price(although some kid might buy them for that)) plus you have a new motor, thats definetly worth something. THEN RIP YOUR STILL BEATING HEART OUT YER CHEST AND STOMP ON IT, CUZ YOUR SELLING YOUR BABY!!!!!! thats my opinion good luck

Since this post came up..

Howmuch do you think i can get for my 93 R1 with 27k on the body and motor, with a 4 point roll bar, Momo steering wheel, relocated battery (in the bin) no emissions, power fc, commander, walbro fuel pump, custom intercooler, silicone hoses, coil relocation, 3" midpipe and downpipe, non-sequential turbos 1300 cc secondaries, Intake, boost guage (autometer :/), Greddy Turbo timer (lazy), and a rockford fosgate 9120 (i think) deck?

Interior is amazing except for the inside of the passenger bin that i cut out and the pop-off plastic covers in the back that i took off for the roll bar. Exterior is in really nice condition but i have some slight chips from a lot of highway driving. Driver door has a faint ding and im getting it repainted, same as passenger side fender because someone scratched it taking off the bumper.

I am the second owner and the car has never been into an accident. I change the oil every 2k miles and use FRAM tough guard filters.

I would take some pictures but its in the garage and im at school.. Plus i am in the process of putting the UIM and turbos back on but haven't had much time. Also i think SurgeMonster stiffed me for the gasket that i sent him 11 bucks for. So Basically, i'd just like to know the value of my car because there aren't many rx-7s near me.

sadly fd prices are going down every day, stock fd's=10-12k right now and your mods dont really add too much to that price (other then your bodykit)

prices haven't come down all that much. there aren't very many of these cars left in good condition.

wait till spring. you'll get a better price. only desparate people sell sports cars in the fall/winter around here.

i'd say closer to 15k.

what's your point?

Cars and the money you put into them don't appreciate. You can't buy a car for $12.5k, put $7k into it, and still expect to get $16-18k for it. If your logic held true then I can get about $28k for mine.

We all love FDs here, but there is a sense of realism to what they are worth. The only way you make money on cars is if you find someone selling one real low, it takes nothing or very little to fix little things, and then you can sell it for maybe $1k over what you have into it. And even this is generally done by people who can do the fixing themselves to save money in order to "flip" the car.

No - you've seen people asking for $23k on Autotrader. And in six month, you will see these same cars on Autotrader.

Obviously stripping off those aftermarket parts and returning it to stock will bring in more money parting. A '99spec kit should add some value I would think

try ebay

try selling it on ebay, you may get someone who would pay 15 around. I traded my 7 last year for a 300Z, I sleep so much better now. It had alot of little problems and I could'nt afford fixing them all.

that is exactly why an FD in good working condition is worth an easy $15k

you buy a cheap one w/ problems or needing a motor and repairs/updates quickly bring it to the $15k+ mark. so either buy cheap and spend a year and +-$5k fixing things or buy one that is in good shape and drive it.

I was checking out the value on a 95' RX 7 on edmons, kelly blue book, and nada. The prices i see for a 95 with 39000 miles. The average prices are:

low retail: + $13,000
average: +$15,000
high: +$17,000
dealer retail:+$19,000

I didn't look at any other year model because I am buying a 95 model next week.
