How much boost I need to blow the engine??
Greetings all,
I know this is a stupid question but I need to get
some reference point. How much boost I need to
blow the Apex seal, 15-17-22 psi???
I have a mid pipe in the mail and I just want
to play safe with my boost.
thanks all!
Serge

Do you have any sort of aftermarket ECU? If not, I'd imagine that you're gonna blow something up real quick. I heard somewhere that the stock turbo's can handle around 17-18 psi, not too sure though. Just be careful, we don't want one less RX-7 on the road.

17-18??!??!? POP!!!
I think the most sustained boost that a stock car can handle is 14-14.5
I think if you're gonna be running higher boost on the sequentials, you should do the non-sequential mod, so it will ease up the stress placed on the turbos
