10 PSI all day/all night and you'll never go wrong.

Is that the most it can handle or can it go higher and still be pretty safe? how much HP does that add?

12 PSI is pushing it. I'd shoot for not more than 11 so an only occaisonal spike to 12 or (hopefully very rare) 13 happens.

Get an aftermarket ECU (along with a few other upgrades) and you can go higher.

There's a oxymoron for you.

It's like jumping off a cliff. How far can you fall & not kill yourself?

The key word in your post is SAFE. You got your answer..........

10 psi (stock boost). Anything more is "not safe". Without all the above mentioned mods you run the risk of running lean & detonation.

Even then, your not "SAFE"............

yeah dont go over the 10psi on stock fuel and dont put more fuel in without the right airflow, so just set it for 10-11psi and you'll be good to go.

i was running 12 psi on my rx7 with intake, DP,mid pipe and a PFC for about 6 months with no problems. the key upgrade is the PFC. if your just goin to use the boost controller then i would stay with 10 psi but if you have a PFC i see nothing wrong with goin higher. the PFC will keep it "safe" is what i think. i tuned my PFC for the 12 PSi.
