If its 400 rwhp and its a daily driver then you'll need several more thousands of dollars for a different daily driver

heh...

not that I have a problem with gobs and gobs of horsepower, but what are you actually going to use it for? Bragging rights? Or are you going to actually run it?

id say you could get "around" 400rwhp for $5k. thats basically what ive done, but my car came with some stuff done to it already. haha, like my power fc. mmmmm. that was a definite plus on the purchase.

5-10K easily...

But after several years with little this and little that.
as your mods list grow. You gonna look back and say
Damn " I spent a lot" then you start calculating..
And think " WTF ".. and still want this and that..

making HP and looks isn't cheap thats for sure..
especially a FD3S.. expensive hobby..
But hey You gotta pay to play..

i'm getting the suspension bushings done today to get rid of the noise and improve handling. also installing n1 dual cb, boost gauge and tein coilovers. so tonight i'll have all of that plus koyo and dp. not sure what's next. don't want to deal with new ecu and tuning, so might just get new wheels (ssr integrals) or some HIDs. eventually i want to paint it silver to match my accord, but the paint is still good for now. so all of this and i'm far from 400hp.

Intake $100
Downpipe $200
Midpipe $200
Catback $400
PowerFC @ 1 bar boost - $1000

That makes about 400hp. I bought some stuff used so it was cheaper.

Now if you're talking 400hp to the wheels, that's a completely different story....

See stage upgrade in Rx7 store:
http://66.216.67.51/subcat.asp?0=218

Stage 2 plus MP or High Flow cat gets you there for $2600 plus labor. If you add an IC it gets expensive (1K etra).

its not that 400 rwhp is expensive its it gets very exspensive in the long run.. if you cant hook 400 rwhp to the ground its pointless, tires, lsd, race axles(not required) struts or coilovers,, but 400 rwhp ,$7 if you do it right, buy some used things it helps out .. my opinion ,, stay with twins ,lots cheaper

Those mods will give you 400 flywheel not rwhp.
