Update: I tried some ball and spring controllers. Got me up to 10-7-10 or so. Definitely quicker spool with the ball and spring design. Still curious to know what people with a spike at transition get at the back of the Y pipe. Or is the spike before and/or after the dip ?

Update: Now I'm using the ball and spring controllers with the stock solenoids. Spool up is awesome ! I get 10 psi at half throttle sometimes. Of course my gas mileage has gone to hell. I shortened the TCA rod and this makes transition faster. Anyone with a slow transition should try this. Just tighten the rod until the valve is just closed with the car off. I've still got the dip, but it is very quick now. Another point, I got my non-seq switch working correctly and I don't see full boost till about 4800. To me this seems late, with my mods I think I should spool up earlier. This seems like the critical factor in deciding to go non-seq or not. For me, I would just lose all my primary boost, and not gain anything. If you can spool up non-seq before 4500 then you have a decision to make.
