I've driven mine from Dallas to Omaha. And several times to the KC area. I wouldn't recommend it if you have to pack heavy or are concerned about mpg. And I prefer a decent two lane to the interstate, but the car is for driving. Go for it.

Bring a few quarts of oil. I usually take 1 box of oil when doing road trips.

I just drove my 7 from California to Texas on a 27 hour trip (with no stops except for gas). The only problem I encountered was the engine starting to overheat as I drove through Tejon Pass. I remedied the situation by simply turning on the heater full blast until I reached Santa Clarita. I would recommend taking an extra quart of oil cause I ended up using about 1/2 a quart just keeping the oil level topped off.

And don't worry people... she's getting trailered back to California.

Do you have the owners manual?

If you checkout page 26 I think it says.........

WARNING!! ACHTUNG!! AVISO!! ALETRE!!

This car is designed for local driving use only! Do not exceed 62 miles (100 km) distance without a prolong stop (not less than 8 hrs.). 5th gear is for transitional use only. Warranty will be voided if this vehicle is EVER used on highways.

Wow, sounds to me like your screwed to me dude.

Interestingly enough, if you read further, page 52 states.

WARNING!! ACHTUNG!! AVISO!! ALETRE!!

Never drive with a car cover installed. Your outward vision will be impaired due to the opacity of textile fabrics. Accident/ Injury or DEATH may result.

Sault Ste Marie MI to Daytone Beach, FL 1,462 in 26 hrs. Ahh the good old days when I had A/C and still got over 20mpg.

I drove mine from Illinois to Maryland when I was stationed there. I got hit by a snow storm. If I hadn't had years of experience driving in snow, I'd no longer be a 7 owner. People say go with low pros and z rated tires. I have Goodyear all season. Just carry some oh **** tools and a quart of oil.
