How many people have broken the UIM?

IM hoping im not the only one. I tightened it down to spec and the pattern? DOnt know y it broke?

It really hard to weld cast, and it dont know it will ever match again, Cause its broken were the UIM meets the LIM, on the first nut twords the front of the car? Im the only person who has done this?

Call some "car recycling" places (junk yards) and get a new one. If it doesnt line up right your gonna have a boost leak, and i dont think duct take or anything can fix it. You must be quite the strong guy, or had some built up anger?

FYI folks, this is the second one, broken on the same corner bolt.

It's a little weird, I'm wondering if certain conditions can make the aluminum cast brittle.

I've never broken one and I've R+R'd at least 10 different ones, some of them 10X times.

I think you can have it welded.

ya thanks steve, it is the second one on the same spot. I am a big guy, and i do have some anger in me, but i didnt torque it down to tight i promise. Ohh well, im the first to ever brake 2 of them. Remember that when you try to place me. i brake manifold for fun.

This just seems to werid to me. What could i be going wrong, lucky i found some nice guy in texas who is hooking me up, this is the up side to owning a 7 people will help you out if they have extra parts.
