how many miles can the average FD engine take before it dies?
Rynberg he gotcha with that last "I guess".......damn that rapier wit......
1996 Suburban, 75K miles and on it's 3rd alternator currently, so you were right on the money. At least the last one I put in has a "lifetime" warranty. Gotta love it though......if I could only get my FD to fit 8 people, 2 dogs, 500 lbs of crap in the back and pull a 10,000lb travel trailer all simultaneously, I'd sell the SOB.

Sean, I guess you've never driven a FD. Even in stock form with the sequential turbos, there is no car like it. It handles like a go-cart and runs to 60 in under 5 seconds. If you like to just sit there and smoke the tires - then you'll want a torque monster (C4, C5, Cobra) but if you want a car that will put a smile on your face = FD. I don't regret spending any money on my car. I still remember my first test drive in my car - i felt like 10 year old that just got a ride in Porsche. to me there is nothing like a turbocharged car and a well maintained, modded FD is extremely enjoyable. C4 = handles well =
