My R1 had 27k miles when I bought it around Christmas of 1998. Almost 9 years later, she has 115k on the chassis but you wouldn't know it by looking at her

Not something I'd brag about. That can be very dangerous... you can't always see tire rot, and 10+ year old tires are very prone to coming apart

My car had 39K miles when I put it in storage 18 months ago. I loved the car and simply didn't want to sell it, but decided to make room for something Italian, red and even faster :-)

Regarding tires, Charlie is right. I held out until a few years ago on my original tires and while they looked great, they were basically worthless. The car came back to life after I put new tires on it.

Take care,
Frank

There's that one Montego Blue 95 that keeps popping up for sale every now and then with 148 miles on it. The owner wants $50k...

One of these days, I just might buy it (in like 20 years)

I know. They're in surprisingly great shape for how old they are, especially treadwise. When I upgrade wheels, they'll just be a sentimental piece. Besides, I'll need more meat when I upgrade.

Remember, tire treads lose grip through age hardening even if they don't wear. You will be much safer, especially if it rains, with new tires. Tires can also develop fatigue cracking internally, and fail unexpectedly, when they get that old.

Be safe. Replace them.

~ 6100 right now if I remember correctly.

I baby this car so much, I keep toying with the idea of picking up a second FD to drive around and rack up the miles. Realistically though, I probably won't since I need to replace my daily driver with something more practical. Thinking of the Nissan Rogue.

I think we need to get a new registry going again... I'd build it if I ever had some free time, but who knows when that will be

Not to get too far off of the subject, but my 93's got about 178,xxx mi on the odometer and its still fartin' around! Unlike the SE I had previous, this one's not falling apart faster than I can fix it ......well ok so it rusted out beyond repair but it had 220,xxx mi on it and it was 22 years old!

none of the links on that 148 mile fd work...so unless that's for real it seems fdpocketrocket's is the lowest so far at 6100 miles

It would be great to get a database going with mileage, owner & state...is anyone interested who has the time?

I have 42,xxx on my 94 R2 body/motor. as said before these cars are not ment to sit, i picked it up with 38,xxx and i have had to replace so much crap because the car sat for so long with no use.... clutch, water pump few sensors alot of the rats nest, rad, thermostat, and shocks are next, also the turbos have just started leaking a little bit of oil, not too bad yet but they will have to be replaced soon.

not fun lol it nice having a very clean totaly stock low milage FD but the stuff that need to be done when you pick them up like that isn't fun lol, plan to spend a few fixing little things
