Well we don't both own one, but the one I drive has been our project ever since it was purchased. We both do stuff to the car and both enjoy driving it. Of course, he calls it mine, but whatever.

My father co-signed for my first FD, that was back in the 90's though, he used to think it was his because of that. It was sort of a, I have to pay for it, but its half mine half his, type of thing. Now I own my own and he can no longer bitch, oh well, he has an 03 ZO6 now, I wouldn't want to drive my car either.

I had my dad really close to buying the white FD from Austin a few months ago (cleanest white FD ever). He has also looked at another Montego Blue, but I wasn't so crazy about that...

I remember that car. It had a RB exhaust, mesh (Volk?) wheels, amongst MANY other things, and the guy was asking something like $25K for it? And yes, it was the cleanest white FD I'd ever seen (next to mine no less!). Do you know what ever happened to it? I had his web page bookmarked but now its down. Did the car sell and to whom?

Well I've owned an FD for about 3 years now and my dad bought an n/a FC back in '96 which he sold to my brother. My brother and dad don't really like to work on cars, or put much money into them so I doubt either of them would ever own an FD.

Here is the link to his original thread.
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...hreadid=300339

I had him down to $23K and could've probably gotten my dad to pay $21.5K. The pictures are no longer up on his site, but the car was absolutely immaculate. The wheels were SSR Professors. The car actually sold to some guy in CANADA! The car went from TEXAS to CANADA. Talk about a change in climate!

Anyways, my dad is now set on getting a LeMans Blue C6, so I'm not heart broken.

My dad co-signed for my fd, and took out a loan so I could buy it (I payed him back of course). He also made me go look at it ( I was set on a 3000 gt), but not after I saw this baby. This was last January while I was still in High School, and it needed a lot of work. It was a theft recovery. So he worked on it all day while I was in school and then we'd work on it together when I got home. Hell, we had to buy so many parts, the guys down at the Mazda dealership know us buy and voice on the phone. I'm in college now so we have to wait untill the summer to fix it more. This summer, we're planning to re-paint the whole thing, buy new bumper and side skirts and fix the interior ( it got all cut up when it was stolen. Very sad).
