How to make a FD run high 12's?

The norm, of course, was 1.9's on the S-02's err were they S-07's or 02's stock?

Those Nitto 555r's are street drag radials.
Every one is telling this guy to put slicks & radials on his car with a dp,mp,cat-back,& intake.Just from experiance I went through my stock clutch and blew up my rear end so bad I had to put a new pumpkin on my car cause I cracked the old one, cause I was running NITTO 555R'S.Just something to think about,I now have an ACT clutch and a KAAZ differential.
For low 13's and high 12's your stock clutch and differential should have no problems at all. Wheelhop will kill it though, so if that happens simply quit doing what you were doing. The stock differential is good into at least the high 10's in the quarter if you treat it right. You'll get clutch slipping by mid to low 12's even during WOT 3rd gear, not just launches. If you like to drag race then you should likely get a set of soft sidewall DOT tires like an M & H, it'll save your driveline but you can't handle worth a **** while they're on. The M & H's are also good down to at least 1.62 60's if you have the power to do it.

Thanks.
Thanks.
Step on the pedal that is on the right.
I was gonna say that.
I still think the single best thing to do if you want to drag race the car is get some tires like Kevin suggests - I used Mickey Thompson ET Streets - the point being traction and soft sidewalls to save the rear end - but you need a clutch that can take the traction.
Launches are tough on the car. The bias-belted tires take up some of the shock & increase the chances that you won't need a tow.
