How long will my car continue smoking
I just replaced my blown set of turbos which dumped nearly all of my oil (3/4 of it) through my exhaust. I knew before starting my car that there would be a lot of smoke left from the pools of oil still in the cat and catback. I ran the car for about 5 minutes and it is still smoking, but my oil pressure, vacuum, idle, and everything else is spot on. I checked the oil after the 5 minute run and it is still at the top, and there is no oil under the car (like there was when I made it into my garage with the blown set.) My question is how long I will need to run the car until the oil is gone, because even though I know everything is fine I am still worried that my problem isn't fixed :l TIA for any help

LOL nice ....but yeah try taking it out for a spin it will get the temperatures higher to burn the oil quicker and if you wanttake it out for a spin and really step on it you will probably make the old oil spew right out the tail pipe...(that would look good on the front bumper of a honda LOL)

The problem is that there is enough smoke to blind the drivers behind me. Yes, there are pools in the exhaust. When I removed my DP at the MP oil came dripping out, and that isnt even a low spot

If it's that big of a problem, and your under the car anyways, just take your exhaust from the dp back off and try to drain as much of it out as you can and the rest should burn off much faster.

K you have officially scared me. If I had lost more than my turbos, then my car would begin to smoke very shortly after I turned the key . However, it takes a good couple of minutes of running before it begins to smoke. Combined with the perfect idle/smooth revving/good vacuum/good oil pressure/good boost from the new set of turbos and along with the other posts in this thread, I am lead be to believe that I am just burning the unburnt oil leftover in my cat/catback. What do you think could have been lost?
EDIT:
Even though the car has been run for ~30 minutes, the oil level is still at the line it was at before I started the car (exactly at the Full line).

Oil does not burn off very easily so if you have a puddle of it I would think that it would take a hell of a lot of time to burn off.
Like others have said: take out your exhaust, drain the oil. Then put everything back in, fire it up. After a little while check to see if the puddle is there again. If not just take a long MIDNIGHT trip, crank up the music and ignore the "spy hunter" smoke screen. Before you know it there will be no more smoke
