Question How long till my cat dies after air pump removal?

I know removal of my air pump will eventually kill my cat, but how long can it last without it? I ask because I'm pulling my UIM to install my block off plate kit and I'd like to do the ACV while I'm in there. But my midpipe won't be here for at least another few weeks maybe even a month or two. I only drive my FD on the weekends, maybe 1K miles at most till the midpipe is on, can the cat last that long without the air pump?

If you are only driving on the weekend it'll last until your mp gets in. Why worry about it if you are getting the mp though?

Well I figured if it does clog up and die it could cause boost problems and I've heard that it can get so hot that it screws other things up. That and it would be nice to have it available to use once a year for emissions inspections.

The cat alone will not allow you to pass emissions. YOu will also need to reinstall the air pump.
