How long to install HKS downpipe?

I just purchased an HKS downpipe, and was wondering how long it would take to install. The reason I ask is because it is my daily driver, and I can't be without the car for too long.

A buddy of mine also highly recommended I tap in a ETG before the installation. What's your take on this, and if I should do this, what brands do you recommend?

It took me about between 1 & 2 hours to install. It depends on how hard your bolts will be to take out.

today i installed a Y-pipe in a friends car, adn with out the intake hoses and cross over pipe/ypipe in there, I noticed that it was amazingly easy to get to, I would really suggest going from above to install instead of going from below. (you can get a 3 foot breaker bar in there from the top )

Figure 4 hours if you've never done it before, and if everything goes smoothly. You really ought to read about this in ALL the archives before you go at it to save yourself alot of grief. EGT probes are a waste of time, they are "after the fact".

Your *** better invest in some PB blaster too. That stuff is the best for freeing up the exhaust nuts and studs. Soak them real good and let them sit overnight.
