How long can you go with clicking sound from Brushings
I got the typical rear end clunk and it is obviously the rear brushings. How many miles of non-hard driving do you think I can go before this gets more serious? What happens if I don't fix it for a while...cost too much man.

Well man the day I bought my 93 I was totally aware of the noise however I knew nothing about RX-7s and their little "quirks", I was so in love with the car the clunking didnt matter to me. That was about a year and a half ago and I now know MUCH MUCH more. I started "trying" to fix the clunk about 6 months ago with new M2 trailing arms, didnt do the trick, real recently I pulled the wheels and looked at things for myself, I noticed my toe link bushings are shot so I have a set of Pettits on the way also I noticed the pillow ball "bushings" were bad on the upper control arm. Keep in mind I have driven with the annoying clunking for well over a year and it hasnt gotten worse and the car still handles well however I feel with the new pillow ball bushings and Pettits installed its going to be sort of compareable to my old 99 Miata, only alot more power!!! Anyways, in short I am saying no it wont hurt more, its already broke, cant get more broken(worn out rubber bushings that is). Hopefully I gave you some good advice, sorry for rambling...

It might also lead to your alignment shifting on a regular basis. I find that my alignments are only good for a couple weeks now ... I suspect that the bushings are at fault for this. From what I've read from other forum members, the rear "ka-thunk" is easily remedied with replacing the differential bushing ... ala unobtainium bushings or whatever you might choose.
