you sure about that? From what I understand, just because emissions aren't tested, doesn't mean that you can remove factory emissions equipment.

I'm gonna have to do this...

I'm not sure I want to spend the bank for HID but I'm game for a better lense.
You can buy HID H4 Conversion kits for around $300 bucks now. I got a set for $340.

Okay well, Im buying both of these, and trying both of them out.

IF they both dont fit, oh well, its better then spending 9 trillion dollars for a light kit thats not that amazing of an improvement.

If both dont work, oh well =\ I 'll sell em to some second gen guys. The stock housing size is like 6 by 5 1/4th but we'll see.

You must be talking about fitting 2 sets of golf clubs in an FD, right? Otherwise, I don't get it

Would it be possible to break the seal of the lense assembly with a heat gun (like when converting to 99' spec tailights) and polish all the funky textured surfaces off? Then reassemble?

I also want to see if those lenses on ebay fit in an fd correctly.

You got a picture of the beam pattern? Or shining against a wall or anything? I thought about doing this but it seems like a 1 way street - if it doesnt work theres no reattaching them

We will see soon, they were shipped out yesterday so they should be here soon.

What I was thinking was if the housing themselves dont fit, I was going to try to figure out how to pop the stock outer lense off, and pop the glass one on there to do the least.

Hopefully I can figure somthing out..

Not hopefully

I WILL figure somthing out.

im looking forward to see if they fit, if not ...at least to know if you are able to open out FD lamp housing and replace it with the one from this kit.

Im looking to puirchase the HI/LOW Beam Catz HID. Ive seen them on ebay for around $500...anybody has pictures of the quality of these.
Or the comparisson between 4000K, 5000K or higher??

The Catz HID are made by some company in Japan that has the highest reputation for best quality in HID.

Personally I don't think it really matters on what frequencies in HID's there are.

All are very bright and they have a slightly different hue to them.

Did you install those "diamond cut" headlamps yet? If so, how well do they work as compared to the stockers?

The second one is the imitation HID kit with the blue tinted bulbs. The first one is the true HID system. The first one will draw about 35W per bulb (6 Amps total), the second will draw 60-85 W per bulb (11 to 18 Amps total). The first one will be -much- brighter. It will not be legal, but it will be brighter ;-)!

Proper HID installs will have a horizontal light cutoff all across the front, and a vertical cutoff on the left side (in left hand drive countries). This is done with metal "shades" in the lamp housing. Check out the RX-8 light pattern for an example. Those lights are awesome! The legally required auto-leveling will probably not happen on a retro-fit such as these.

I was told by Rx-7$4$me that the "diamond cut" lights *DON'T* fit the FDs, even though they advertise that they do. Is there anyone who makes replacement houses that actually fit?
