Has anyone tried these Diamond headlamps?

Im currently using Sylvania silverstar bulbs, but night visibility is still marginal. Maybe mine is a special case, but some of the light seems to be absorbed by the lens itself. Also the beam pattern is uneven and seems to point to one side. Has anyone tried these replacement bulbs?

EBAY: 87-97 MAZDA RX7 RX-7 DIAMOND CUT HEADLIGHTS

They seem to have a nice transparent lens. Their beam pattern may be better than the stock bulbs too. I realize they are probably of lesser quality and may have an odd look. But people will only see headlamps when they are brightly lit at night. Im curious to see if anyone has given these a shot.

I eventually want to go with some kind of pop-up HID setup. Maybe these headlights with a bulb/ballast HID kit would work together.

Also is there a reasonably priced pop-up dual projector kit out there? The only one I could find is the RX7evens kit that hes been teasing everyone about releasing for over a year. This is the type of HID look I would really like to go with, but it doesnt look like its possible to do for under $1200-$1600.

Thanks for your help guys.

I was wondering the same thing. I saw those "Diamond" headlamps on ebay a couple days ago and was wondering if they were any good. I've know that KnightSports(?) makes some kind of HID popup kit. I was just informed today on another post that FEED also makes an HID popup kit. I love the HID look and am eager to get a quality, affordable kit.

My buddy installed a set on his car. If you get a good set of bulbs they look very close to HID. Here is a link to his writeup on the intsall as well as a few pictures.

They seem to work fine in the FC, but will these fit in the FD housing?

The ad says that it'll fit without modifications, which is untrue for the FD's.

The diamond cut headlights fit my fc but I can't speak for fds. I ended up buying a pair of sylvania silverstars and the improvement from stock wad woth the 80 bucks. Ill try and swap a stock one back in so I can take pics of the comparison.
