How heavy is stock flywheel?

I am looking to upgrade my clutch, and I see there is the ACT Street/strip + 10lb flywheel combo, is that a good upgrade to do while the clutch is being upgraded?
Is it ok to have the clutch installed at a transmission shop? or Mazda Dealer ($$$$) or any suggestions? I don't live near any rotary shops...
Is the 10lbs a significant reduction in flywheel weight?
Is the fact that it is an aluminum flywheel a problem? is that strong enough for FD applications?

Thanks
-Dave

Yes it is a significant difference. Something like 9 pounds. If you have the money, let a shop do it. If not, do it your self. It's not that bad. Do a search to find out the best way to do it. My advice. Propane torch and turn up the pressure on the impact wrench.
