how does the power fc receive its water temp information?

I know its probably a silly question but for some reason my pfc seems incredibly slow at reacting to water temp changes. I can turn the car and have the exact same degrees showing for 10 min of driving before it sees what's really going on and adjusts itself accordingly. I would guess that whatever plug or connector that relays this info has become dirty or has loosened up but im not sure what im looking for, can someone please point me in the right direction?

U should be abled to remove the green water temp sensor in the rear of the water pump housing and clean the sensor withsome sand paper or similar corrosion from the system builds up on it and messes with the reading

sometimes the sensor itself needs replacement. the pfc reads from the OEM 2-wire sensor on the waterpump housing
