How do u unplug the airpump?

I know most people remove it, but I think its on its way out as I think its making a funny screeching noise when the gas is between 1500-3000rpm so I just want to unplug it check if its that...

I know people remove it completly but I just want to disable it quickly to check if thats the problem...

pls help

thanks

There's a connector on top of the airpump that you can unplug.

cool thanks, also reading through ALL the old posts about this I think the sound can be described the same as this

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...hlight=airpump

'The problem ended up being the ACV check valve. It just wasn't seated correctly.'

Where can I find the ACV check valve? sorry for being a newbie....

The ACV is under the Upper Intake Manifold bolted to the Lower Intake Manifold. It's held on with 3 (or 4, can't remember exactly) real pain in the rear bolts. Pull the UIM off and you can't miss it.
