How do I get my stock wheels off?

I took off all the bolts but it won't budge, I figure something's behind the center cap but I can't figure out how to get behind it. Sorry if this is a repeat thread I'm just in a bit of a rush, any help is at all appreciated

kick it, hit it with a rubber hammer, get under the car and kick it outwards... its just rusted on from time, there is nothing but 5 lug nuts holding the wheels on

nothing is behind the center cap. you might just need to bang one side of the tire to loosen it from the wheel threads.

just make sure when you are banging that you don't knock the car off the jack.

dont pull... you'll just pull a muscle.

and yeah like what prelude says leave a lug nut on there like 2 or 3 threads so if you're hitting from behind or if the car is high on a lift or something the wheel doesnt wobble off and fall on something that can damage that pretty aluminum wheel.

you need what I like to call a "BFH", and is quite possibly one of the most usefull tools in one's tool box. The Big F***** Hammer.

like a member mentioned above, put a lug on with a turn of 2. Then, i would just use the my heel to kick the top of the tire, it should come right off =).

If you don't want to use a hammer to beat on it, another way to do it would be to loosen up all the lug nuts, but don't remove them. Then roll the car back and forth a few feet in the garage, it should break it loose. I've never had one stick more than a good heel kick into the side of the tire though.

take out the bolts and lower the car down so tire will touch the ground. this should put enough weight to break wheel loose. do not bring down the jack all the way, just enough to put some load.

LOL. I thought Ohio was the only place that had BFH's.

You could spray some penetrating oil or break free where the wheel bolts up. Let it set for a bit, then use the BFH.

Learn from experience?

Use some pb blaster. This stuff works wonders.

Kick it or use a rubber hammer. Simple as that. Buy PB blaster, lightly cover all 5 studs with PB and soak the lug nut's threads in it. Then the next time you go to do remove your wheels they will slide off.
