How do I disable the factory alarm?

It started screwing up last summer when I got it back from the body shop. It would start going off any time I unlocked the driverside door from the out side.
Well I just swapped out my carpet so I had the dash out. Now It does it with the passenger side door too.
So basically I cant lock my car now unless I want the alarm going off when I try to get in.

WTF?

How can I permanetly disable the alarm?

just disconnect the wire connector that goes to the hood latch, that will simulate the hood being open and prevent the alarm from setting. just try to set the alarm with the hood open, it will not arm.

Sounds like the trick that I was looking for. I'll give that a shot tomorrow.
Thanks a million.
I owe you one.
